1965年的高等教育法, 修订的, requires students to maintain satisfactory progress toward their degree in order to receive financial aid. 在利记sbo, these standards are established for students who are receiving or applying for financial aid from one or more of the various federal, 状态, 或者机构资助, 奖学金, 工作, 或者贷款项目.

These standards require that students complete a specific number of credit hours each academic year and maintain the minimum GPA as defined by the standards. 这些都是必须达到的最低标准. 具体援助项目, college or department standards may vary and/or require more than these minimum standards.

1. Financial aid eligibility is suspended when credits required for a degree/program are earned or when the student has attempted credit hours totaling 150% of the required credit hours for the student's program of study.

有转学分的新生

在进入大学后, all transfer students are considered to be making satisfactory academic progress. 转移 credit from the previous school that applies to the transfer student’s program (major) will be counted towards the student’s maximum-time frame (counted as both hours attempted and hours completed for measurement).

然而, transfer credit hours are not included in the calculation of a student’s grade point average.

进入大学后, courses successfully completed in subsequent terms at another institution that fulfill degree requirements at 利记sbo may be used to achieve satisfactory academic progress compliance. Students must provide documentation to the 财政援助办公室 regarding such credit. This strictly pertains to 令人满意的学业进展 (SAP) Policy for 金融援助 and is not in regards to the University Guest or Additional 信贷 Policy (refer to the 有关这些政策的更多信息 ).  

课程(专业)变更(重置)/转学分

学生可以在其他学院转专业(如.e. moving from the College of 工程 to the College of Architecture) and have the one-time opportunity to reset their grade point average to 0.00. This option will allow students to begin a new SAP status from the semester the GPA was reset in the new program of study.

转移 credit from the previous program (major) that applies to the new program (major) will be counted towards the student’s maximum-time (counted as both hours attempted and hours completed for measurement).  

第二个学位

有兴趣获得第二学位的学生, will need to have a degree audit performed by the academic department to determine the number of credits needed to complete the second degree. The 财政援助办公室 will then establish a new Maximum Time-frame based off the degree audit.

级变化

在最终成绩公布后, it is the student's responsibility to notify the financial aid office of any official grade changes.

重复

Students may repeat a course in which a passing grade was previously earned to improve their grade, 然而, 每次重修都将计入尝试的学时数.

评估过程

The 财政援助办公室 will evaluate the progress of each student according to these standards on an annual basis.
